Benefits ALL Employees receive a $2000.00 per year retention bonus paid in $200 increments over 10 months.

  • Starting Salary $16.33; 6-Months: $17.23; 1-year: $18.68. $12.00 per hour during training

Responsibilities

  • Transport students to and from school in a safe, caring manner
  • Optional extra work: school field trips and commercial charters
  • Ensure a complete safety check of the vehicle before and after use
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings

 Qualifications

  • Must be18 years of age or older and hold a valid driver license for a minimum of 2 years
  • Must have an excellent driving history; “more than three (3) recorded moving violations during the past two years will disqualify your application”
  • Can read and speak English sufficiently
  • Has to pass a DOT physical examination in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Has to pass a DOT Drug/Alcohol screen in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Has to pass New Hampshire Criminal Background check
  • You must be a high school graduate or have a GED
  • Any person applying for a job as a Bus Operator must inform Manchester Transit Authority of all previous employment as the driver of a commercial vehicle (covering the last ten (10) years).

Body Shop Technician:

A body repair technician is able to repair vehicle bodies.

This is an entry-level position with a great opportunity to learn how to complete bodywork on commercial buses from tenure professional.

  • Applicants will be required to obtain a CDL-B, Airbrake, DOT Medical Certificate and pass pre-employment drug screen and will be part of a random drug screen pool as required by USDOT paid for by MTA

Responsibilities

  • Return the vehicle back to factory specifications
  • Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body
  • Can properly fill depressions with body filler and insure a quality repair
  • Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
  • Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack
  • File, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
  • Replace bolts on panels and align properly
  • Make cosmetic repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections back to original specifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years body shop experience preferred but not required
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work independently

Job Description – IT Systems Administrator

PURPOSE
This document defines the job description for the IT Systems Administrator position.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of MTA’s computer networks, resolve malfunction with computer hardware and software and make required updates to all equipment and software as needed, assist with the needs of the internal users.

SUPERVISOR

This position reports to the Assistant Director

JOB DUTIES
· Identify and fulfill MTA’s needs around computer systems

· Determine the cause of network errors and take the steps needed to fix them

· Issues upgrades to the computer system accordingly to meet the needs the company

· Remain up-to-date on current technology changes and trends

· Train employees on hardware or software

· Design and Manage website for MTA

· Maintain school bus charter program using Microsoft Access

· Manage phone system, to include phone programming, backend management, user guidance, etc.

· Manage connections with Citrix and Parallels for daily computer management software

· Liaison to the City of Manchester IT Department

· Participate in the Bid process and maintenance of computer hardware to include, workstations, printers, tablets, wireless connectivity and cellular connectivity

· Participate in the On-Call rotation

QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Degree or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Information Technology preferred

· Problem-solving skills: This is a position that requires someone with the ability to troubleshoot and repair network or computer user problems quickly and effectively.

· Proficiency in Word Press website management and design

· Proficiency in Microsoft Access to include coding and software development

· Ability to manage Officeserv Device Manager phone system, or have related experience

· Knowledge of Citrix and Parallels is preferred

· Communication skills

· Multitasking skills

· Knowledge of local streets

· Interpersonal skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to prioritize, manage time, and work independently effectively

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens

WORK SCHEDULES
40+ hour work week. Occasional weekend availability required. Generally, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri.
