With the new MTA Mobile Ticketing app, you can purchase and use bus pases directly from the comfort of your phone!

Simply visit the App Store/Play Store, search ‘MTA Mobile Ticketing’, and download the app. From there, you can create an account from within the app, select the ticket(s) you would like to purchase, and proceed to checkout!

Scanning a bus pass is as easy as ever. Once you have activated your bus pass, a QR code should appear on your phones display. Hold your phone screen facing the glass panel on the buses farebox (below the cash insert) to scan your ticket.

For further assistance on where to scan, please ask your bus driver and they may direct you on where to scan your phone.
